Full job description

The role of the Café Supervisor is to support the Café Manager and Kitchen Manager in all aspects of running the café and deputise for the Café Manager in their absence. The role spans both the kitchen and front of house side of this busy, year round beach café.

The role will include:

Working across both front of house and the kitchen area, at times being the sole person in charge (once full training complete)

Responsibility for opening and closing the café as required and being a designated key holder

Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the cafe to agreed standards, following all processes put in place and ensuring staff do the same

Ordering stock for the café (taking into consideration the weather, time of year, holiday periods and other busy times) and ordering stock on a weekly or daily basis, as required - following existing procedures

Responsible for producing high quality food – from baking and soups, to cooking to order during busy times (full training will be given)

Preparing barista hot drinks and making our famous quirky ice creams.

Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Personal skills and experience required:

Experience of working in a busy hospitality business for several years

Great communication skills

Good at juggling many jobs at once

Great people skills, towards both customers and staff

Hard working

Good sense of humour

Positive and can do attitude

Well presented

Good time keeping

The shift pattern will be 2/3 days during the week and 1 day at the weekend, with shift times 7:30am to 5/6pm. These times can change during peak season. We can be flexible for the right candidate.

Pay: £13.71 per hour
