Full job description

Job Overview

The Penmere Manor Hotel is a 3 star privately owned Hotel in Falmouth, Cornwall and we are looking for an experienced part time Chef De Partie to join our friendly brigade.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
Assist with maintaining regular stock taking, rotation and daily checks on food products in stock
Managing a section
Helping to evolve and contribute to a safe working culture

We are looking for a candidate who:-

Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant to at least Demi-DCP level
Experienced in patisserie as well as other areas of food preparation such as butchery, fish prep and sauce
Has the ability to organise, plan and prioritise
Demonstrates the ability to consistently deliver a quality product
Works in a clean, tidy, and well organised manor

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen is required for this role.

A suitable opportunity to develop further and expand your skills.

The role will include varied shifts, including split shifts and weekends.

As the Hotel is family-owned, it closes for both the Christmas and New Year periods.

References will be required, rate of pay dependent on experience, pro-rata holiday entitlement and employee pension scheme.

All staff received a share of the tips, along with a discounted membership to the leisure facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium.
