Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team Monday - Thursday 9.00 - 16.30.

Start Date: 29.06.26

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a curtain side lorry. This role requires a commitment to excellent customer service and adherence to all driving regulations.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne curtain side for the transportation of goods to various locations.
Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with road regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Ensuring goods are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures while on duty.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles.
Valid CPC
Digital Tacho
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
