Full job description

Support our field sales team from the office and help keep customer enquiries, quotations and sales activity moving smoothly.

The Role

Based at our Four Ashes office, you will provide direct support to our field sales representatives while they are on the road visiting customers and attending meetings. You will help keep sales activity moving smoothly, allowing the team to focus on business development activities while reducing the risk of administrative backlogs.

You will provide administrative and operational support, helping to manage customer enquiries, quotations, sales opportunities, travel arrangements, CRM updates and accurate reporting.

In addition, you will support the wider Sales Support Department, assisting with order processing, customer communications and coordination with other teams throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

Field Sales Support

Act as the primary office-based support contact for field sales representatives
Prepare, edit and issue customer quotations
Support the management and progression of sales opportunities
Update and maintain the sales CRM software, supporting the sales team’s input to ensure accuracy
Respond to customer enquiries and direct requests appropriately
Coordinate and supply sales and promotional literature to customers and prospects
Liaise with the Marketing Team to ensure sales representatives have access to current marketing materials and campaigns
Arrange travel, accommodation and meeting logistics for the field sales team
Assist with diary coordination where required
Support holiday and absence administration for the sales team

Sales Administration & Customer Support

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
Chase outstanding information required to progress orders
Facilitate repeat orders and support new customer enquiries
Assist in maintaining accurate records within the company’s business systems
Produce reports and documentation as required
Ensure customer information and sales data remain up to date

Internal Coordination

Work closely with the Service and Installations Team to coordinate customer projects and activities
Support communication between departments to ensure a smooth customer experience
Provide holiday and absence cover for other members of the Sales Support Team
Assist with other administrative and operational tasks as required

What Success Looks Like

Field sales representatives receive timely and reliable office-based support
Customer enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities are progressed efficiently
CRM records and sales reports are accurate and kept up to date
Customer communication is clear, professional and timely
Sales administration tasks are completed accurately and without unnecessary delay
The Sales Support Team works effectively with field sales and other departments

About You

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy commercial environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the confidence to work independently while supporting a team of remote sales professionals.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous administration, coordination or customer support experience
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Confident user of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to learn and use CRM and business management systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience supporting a sales team or remote field team
Understanding of the sales process and customer journey
Experience using CRM systems
Experience preparing or managing quotations

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
