Welder / Fitter – £22.00 per hour
Elite Site Services Ltd are looking for experienced Welder/Fitters to join our team on a self-employed subcontract basis.
We specialise in mechanical engineering, installation, maintenance and breakdown work within the waste, recycling and renewable energy sectors, working on conveyors, balers and associated plant and machinery.
The role involves working on customer sites throughout the UK, so applicants must be comfortable working away from home. Accommodation is provided when working away.
Duties will include:
- Mechanical fitting and installation
- Stick/MMA welding
- MIG welding and fabrication
- Conveyor installation, maintenance and repairs
- Baler maintenance and repairs
- Structural steelwork
- Removal and installation of plant and machinery
- Breakdown and refurbishment work
- General site engineering duties
Pay & benefits:
- £22.00 per hour
- Self-employed/subcontract position
- Outside IR35
- Accommodation provided when working away
- £25 per night subsistence

Requirements:
Applicants should have previous experience as a Welder/Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Site Engineer and be confident working in an industrial environment.
Experience with conveyors, balers, recycling equipment or heavy industrial machinery would be an advantage.
Relevant site qualifications such as CSCS/CCNSG, IPAF, PASMA, confined space or welding qualifications are advantageous but not essential for all applicants.
You must be reliable, able to work as part of a team and willing to travel and work away when required.
Location: Ideally Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire and surrounding areas.
