Full job description

J G Pears (Newark) Ltd is a rendering company that takes animal by-products and turns it into sustainable high-quality products like bio-fuels and pet food ingredients. This role is based at our site in Market Harborough, postcode LE16 7SL.

Factory Operative (Tallow)

We are looking for an Operative, to work on our facility used for filtering and loading tallow products. We are looking for team players with excellent attendance records.

This is a full-time role working 42 hours per week on a rotating 3-week shift pattern covering both days and nights, 12 hour shifts. Further details will be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day to day running of the Tallow Farm following manager’s instructions
Taking samples from production tanks and recording results
Completing daily inspections and report any defects
Maintain room in production tanks to allow the factory to operate
Dispatching tallow to meet customer requirements
Ensure all necessary documentation and labelling of product is completed.

Requirements

Full training will be given but FLT license is preferable
English ESOL Entry 3/Level 1
Good written and oral communication
Good understanding of Health and Safety
Team player
Training and development opportunities.

Due to location, own transport is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £15.32 per hour
