Deputy Manager Clinical

Location: The Maples
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £43,000

About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate and resilient Clinical Deputy Manager to join our Specialised Trauma Services team at The Maples.

Working within our CQC-regulated Registered Services, you'll support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care and support for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions and/or Learning Disabilities. You'll work closely with Complex Mental Health Workers to help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and live safely within their communities.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager to:

Provide leadership and oversight of service delivery, including clinical practice, medication management, personal care, and risk management.
Manage caseloads, support plans, risk assessments, outcomes, and KPI performance.
Lead all aspects of staff management, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance management, and development.
Promote person-centred support that encourages independence and achievement of individual goals.
Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, crises, investigations, disciplinary processes, and service risks.
Ensure compliance with CQC standards, Local Authority contracts, health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.
Maintain effective relationships with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Monitor service quality, address performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Support service users with emotional wellbeing, medication, daily living skills, community engagement, education, employment, and recovery-focused outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and consistently demonstrate The Maples' values (FOCUS).
Undertake any other duties required to support the service and its users.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

Experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, trauma, and/or Learning Disabilities.
Experience working within CQC-regulated services, ideally at Deputy Manager level.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, person-centred support, the Mental Health Act, and medication management.
Good IT, administration, and record-keeping skills.

Qualifications

Clinical Deputy Manager:

Registered Mental Health qualification (or other relevant clinical qualification) with a valid professional registration (e.g. NMC PIN).

Desirable:

NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience.

Pay: £43,000.00 per year
