Job Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team delivering grounds maintenance across a range of sites. This role suits someone with strong practical experience in grounds maintenance who can organise daily work, guide operatives and maintain high standards across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Supervise grounds maintenance works across multiple sites
- Lead and support a small team of operatives
- Carry out and oversee grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting and pruning
- Plan and organise daily tasks
- Ensure sites are maintained to a high standard
- Monitor on site issues and report to management
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and equipment
- Ensure tools, vehicles and equipment are kept in good condition
- Maintain safe working practices on all sites
- Liaise with management regarding site requirements and progress
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance with supervisory responsibility preferred
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident using grounds maintenance machinery including mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters
- Good knowledge of seasonal maintenance tasks
- Ability to organise work and lead a team
- Strong attention to detail and good work standards
- Able to work outdoors throughout the year
