Full job description

Big Motoring World is looking for an experienced and motivated Valet Manager to join our team.

As a Valet Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the valeting team, ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared and presented to a high standard before reaching our customers.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the team, manage workloads, maintain quality standards and ensure vehicles are prepared efficiently to meet customer delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the valeting team, allocating workloads and monitoring productivity.
Ensure vehicles are valeted to company standards and completed within agreed timescales.
Carry out regular quality checks to ensure vehicles meet our presentation standards.
Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
Address performance, attendance and timekeeping issues where required.
Plan and prioritise workloads to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles.
Work closely with workshop and preparation teams to support daily operations.
Monitor team performance against daily targets and expectations.
Communicate daily priorities, targets and vehicle progress to the team and management.
Report any delays, issues, hazards or equipment faults to management.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and equipment and chemicals are used correctly.

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience within a valeting or vehicle preparation environment.
Has experience supervising or leading a team.
Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.
Can effectively organise workloads and manage competing priorities.
Is confident communicating with both team members and management.
Can motivate a team and lead by example.
Has a strong understanding of health and safety within a working environment.
Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Is reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards.
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
