Looking for Foundry Operatives to join an established foundry based in Batley, West Yorkshire.
This is a hands-on role in a busy foundry environment. We currently have two vacancies: Foundry Operative and Caster/Furnaceman.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Foundry Manager
- Charging furnace to specific metal grades
- Preparing metal for the casting
- Assisting with mould preparation and casting processes
- Operating overhead crane
- Using FLT
- Carrying out quality checks on finished components
- Keeping the work area clean, safe, and organised
Requirements
- Previous foundry or Industrial experience preferred (training provided)
- Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment
- Good attention to detail and manual handling ability
- Ability to follow health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
