Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Rectangular Duct Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality rectangular ductwork utilised in HVAC systems. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of sheet metal work. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical assembly to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components to specified dimensions using hand tools and tooling.
Fabricate rectangular duct sections through welding, grinding, and other metalworking techniques.
Operate grinding machines and welding equipment safely and efficiently to ensure high-quality output.
Perform basic calculations to determine measurements and material requirements for each project.
Assemble duct sections accurately according to technical drawings and specifications.
Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring all components meet safety and industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or similar metalworking roles.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in working with sheet metal and ductwork components.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tooling used in sheet metal fabrication.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations accurately.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise assembly of duct sections.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience with assembly processes related to HVAC or duct manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
