Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Commercial Legal Secretary to support our legal team in a fast-paced commercial law environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative operations, managing legal documentation, and facilitating communication within the firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a background in legal support.

Duties

Providing comprehensive secretarial support to solicitors specialising in commercial law.
Managing and prioritising multiple tasks efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
Audio typing of legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and speed.
Organising and maintaining legal files, documents, and records in accordance with firm procedures.
Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documentation using Microsoft Word and other Office applications.
Scheduling meetings and appointments,
Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally, ensuring effective communication with clients and external agencies.
Managing time effectively to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

Proven administrative experience within a legal environment.
Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software or systems quickly.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is required.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
