Vertu Motors, Gateshead, Reactive Maintenance Administrator

Vertu Motors is one of the largest automotive retailer groups throughout the UK and currently have over 190 sites which come under Vertu Motors.

We are currently looking for a very talented Reactive Maintenance Assistant and team lead to join our property team based at Vertu house, with experience in commercial property maintenance.

Working Full Time, Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with 1 hr for lunch.

The purpose of this role is to provide excellent service to our extensive portfolio of dealerships around the UK by following the maintenance process in accordance with our property policy.

Main duties and skills needed within the role are:

To process maintenance jobs logged by the dealership colleagues.
Appoint contractors to attend to property issues.
Understanding of commercial properties and maintenance essential.
Liaising with contractors and dealership colleagues.
Process invoices for completed works.
Be an integral part of the property maintenance team.
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a quick-paced environment.
Time management skills are essential in this fast moving role.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations.
Ability to problem solve, maintain high standards and hold contractors accountable.
Be a team player that provides support to other colleagues.
Working knowledge of H&S at work.
Maintaining accurate records.
Participate in the ‘on call’ phone rota.
Participate in monthly meetings as requested.
Proficiency with Excel, word and other office based systems.
