Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where organisational skills and attention to detail are highly valued. Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a healthcare setting with a focus on patient care.

WORKING HOURS: 10 :00 AM - 15:00PM - 5 days a week.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Handle patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Process payments and insurance claims accurately and securely
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
Support the dental team with various clerical duties as required

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar programmes
Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
