MAIN PURPOSE:
The HR client services Manager plays a lead role in the development and engagement of the HR delivery team, working collaboratively with the team to deliver a high quality and professional HR service to a range of clients. The key purpose of the role is to support, line manage and develop the HR consultants and other HR team members, to coordinate delivery of high-quality services to the client across the team and to coach and support the development of the HR delivery team. (60% of time)
Therefore, the ability to provide expert and tailored advice on a range of HR cases and projects whilst building and maintaining client relationships to strengthen and grow existing accounts, whilst onboarding and building new contracts is essential.
You will also directly deliver HR consultancy services to a defined portfolio of clients (approximately 40% of the role).
HR Skills & Knowledge - client focused
Liaising with clients and other third parties on various HR issues including:
- Leading role in the delivery of client services including HR support provision across the employee lifecycle and complex project/consultancy work.
- Partner with our clients to provide timely, commercial and compliant advice ensuring the best possible outcome for the client.
- Drafting well written, structured and comprehensive reports.
- Produce various HR related correspondence to support the employee lifecycle i.e. offer letters, contracts, change to contract letters, for our clients, to support their HR processes.
- Draft and maintain staff handbooks and policies to endure they are up-to-date with legislative changes and are tailored to the clients operations and internal processes.
- Manage client’s HR systems.
- Facilitating and holding workshops for employment related issues effectively and in the appropriate forum.
- Holding ad-hoc training and informative sessions.
- Knowledge of health and safety at work.
- Build and promote a collaborative team working environment.
- Ensuring quality of advice and documentation output across the team is high.
HR Skills & Knowledge – team focused
- Being available to support and develop the teams’ skills and knowledge
- Taking the lead in the development of skills and knowledge of team members through encouraging, facilitating and holding workshops for employment related issues effectively and in the appropriate forum for the internal team
- Holding ad-hoc training and informative sessions.
- Promoting health and safety at work so that the team have a healthy work environment and balanced workload
- Build and promote a collaborative team working environment.
- Ensuring quality of advice and documentation output across the team is high.
- Regular documented 121 with team members, follow up action and management to build a steady, well-functioning team.
Client Delivery & Account Management
- Leading role and supporting the team in the renewals of key client accounts and wider account management;
- Work to client expectations and specifications within agreed terms of engagement.
- Work within client terms of engagement ensuring that contracts are delivered accordingly.
- Assist and provide accurate details of progress reports and leadership reports monthly, quarterly and annual Reports for discussion and decision making
- Continuous review and monitor of billable hours ensure client work meets expectations agreements and timelines.
- Regularly reviewing accounts with the client to identify additional opportunities and to ensure client satisfaction through high quality work.
Developing the business
- Proactively identifying potential business opportunities through existing and new client relationships
- Take a leading role in supporting the sales and marketing strategy and business development plan.
- Working towards targets and supporting the sales process including following up proposals and updating the internal CRM (Hubspot).
- Continuously update HR Knowledge through online research, attending and hosting seminars
- Writing proposals and preparing budgets for potential new business within the Gravitate HR business model and framework.
- Producing content for our website and social media channels
- Promote and actively work towards the Gravitate HR ‘employee lifecycle’ model and have the ability to promote the Company’s services.
- Keeping abreast of CIPD updates.
- Developing new initiatives and ideas for Gravitate HR to offer to new and existing clients.
- Attending seminars and networking events and actively seeking new business opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources or similar qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 7 years’ experience working in a Senior HR role within a consultancy environment with direct line management experience
- Expert knowledge across the HR spectrum.
- Chartered Member of the CIPD.
- A thorough understanding and working knowledge of business to business environment.
- Decision making and problem solving skills.
- People management skills
- A thorough knowledge of invoicing process and business model.
- Computer literate with the ability to pick up software and its uses quickly.
