The Role
To support the Board’s procurement, logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring these are carried-out in compliance with the Board Standing Financial Instructions and deliver continuity of supply through providing an efficient and professional service to all wards and departments
Please note this is a fixed term post until March 2027. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
In this key role, you will:

Responsible for the purchase of all delegated goods and services for the Board, in compliance with the Board's standing financial instructions as instructed by the first-line supervisor and senior management.
- Offer professional supplies support to all user departments including product information and pricing where appropriate.

Providing provisional pricing and sourcing information for indents/requests from wards and departments whilst ensuring the utilisation of NHS Scotland and health board frameworks and contracts to the maximum extent.

Expediting of all orders to ensure delivery timescales are met and appropriate paper-work passed for invoice processing.
What You'll Bring:

Knowledge in using an integrated computer system is essential and experience in maintaining and updating system information is necessary.

The post holder must be highly IT literate.

The post holder should have 4 Standard Grades or be educated to SVQ2 level or equivalent.
Or

The post holder should have 2 years’ experience in delivering customer focussed services and have strong communication and team-working skills are necessary.
Please note: A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
