About the Organisation:
On 1 April 2026, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow.
As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
The Team:
People, Solutions and Experience are a team within the Human Resources and Workforce Development Department, and we aim to provide an excellent service in all aspects of employment, from prior to commencement of employment and throughout the employment lifecycle. This includes providing a wide range of professional services such as recruitment, terms and conditions of service and policy and case management advice and guidance.
The Post:
The case management team sits within the People Solutions and Experience Team providing case management support and advice to Public Services Delivery Scotland employees and to Public Health Scotland employees.
The HR Case Officer will provide a comprehensive coordination service, providing invaluable resource for managers and the case management team. The postholder will be the first point of contact for customers and will provide firstline policy and procedure advice to support earlystage case activity. This will include triage, document preparation and meeting coordination. In addition, the postholder will also be responsible for maintaining our people system, our internal databases and our call management platform.
The Candidate:
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills combined with great organisational and time-management skills, to join the team. You will have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, customer service environment and possess problem-solving and decision-making skills.
A good understanding of HR practices and a confident and flexible approach are essential to balance the needs of the customers with the requirement to adhere to policy and process.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative role, ideally within an HR environment and should be qualified to HNC level or with equivalent HR experience.
Additionally, you should have experience of HR systems and be computer literate with standard Microsoft packages.
The successful candidate must comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
Location and Working Pattern:
Hours of work are 36 hours per week
The post can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, and on occasion travel to other Public Services Delivery Scotland and Public Health Scotland sites to attend meetings will be required.
We anticipate that a flexible approach to where we work will continue and a blend of home and office working will become the norm depending on preference and service need.
