Pathway to Head of Growth
Pay: £45,000 – £51,000 per year + uncapped commission & performance bonuses
About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, commercially driven Senior Relationship Manager to join our multi-award-winning localisation agency.
This is not a traditional account management role.
We’re looking for a growth-focused commercial operator who can drive new business, expand strategic accounts, generate demand, and help shape the future growth engine of MLC within the medical and life sciences sector.
This pivotal role will focus on building partnerships and expanding our client portfolio across pharma, medtech, diagnostics, healthcare technology, and regulated industries - helping global organisations communicate effectively across languages using cutting-edge localisation technology, AI-enabled workflows, and strategic language solutions.
You’ll work closely with leadership and play a direct role in shaping commercial strategy, outbound growth campaigns, and long-term client partnerships.
For the right person, this role offers a clear progression pathway toward a future Head of Growth position within 12–18 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition and expand strategic existing accounts
- Build a predictable, repeatable pipeline across MLC’s target sectors
- Develop and execute outbound growth campaigns across LinkedIn, email, networking, and strategic partnerships
- Generate £25K+ monthly new business revenue while contributing toward ambitious annual growth targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored localisation and multilingual communication solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them launch products globally and compliantly
- Identify commercial opportunities within existing accounts and grow long-term client value
- Use AI tools to enhance prospecting, personalisation, proposal creation, workflow automation, and client engagement
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and client challenges to inform commercial strategy
- Help position MLC as a leading localisation partner within medtech, pharma, and healthcare innovation sectors
- Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns, thought leadership, and strategic growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or strategic relationship management
- Proven B2B sales success within:
- Medical / life sciences / medtech / pharma
- OR
- Translation / localisation / regulated service industries
- Strong track record of generating new business and growing strategic accounts
- Experience selling into companies such as medtech scale-ups, healthcare technology providers, diagnostics companies, CROs, or pharmaceutical organisations
- Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding commercial targets (£20K–£50K+ monthly sales targets preferred)
- Strong understanding of localisation, translation, multilingual communications, or regulated content environments
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly proactive, commercially minded, and growth-oriented mentality
Highly Desirable
- Existing network within medtech, pharma, diagnostics, healthcare technology, or regulated industries
- Experience running outbound LinkedIn and email campaigns
- Experience using AI tools to improve sales workflows and commercial performance
- Understanding of translation/localisation workflows, project delivery, or language services operations
- Background in languages, translation, linguistics, or localisation studies
