Our teams focus on making a real difference through culture and sport in Glasgow. If you’re excited by the idea of being part of that, this could be the job for you.

What you need to know

Who can apply:

Hours: 35per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31/03/2029

Location: Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in one of our offices.

What you’ll do

As a Health and Wellbeing Adviser, you’ll be a part of a Live Well Community Referral team, reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Officer. You’ll play an essential role in encouraging people to live a healthier Glasgow life by supporting them to take part in a variety of cultural and sporting activities on their doorstep, promoting inclusion and wellbeing throughout the city.

Through Whole Family Support you will work with local families to connect them to local cultural and sporting activities to enhance their wellbeing.

Your work will make a visible and lasting difference including:

Supporting our communities and connecting people to opportunities that help them be active or have access to cultural and creative experiences.
Supporting families referred to Glasgow Life to access local cultural and sporting activities.
Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen and supporting the wider Physical Activity team.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone with the right skills who brings energy to the role. If the following sounds like you, apply today!

We’re looking for:

Previous experience of supporting individuals facing a variety of social challenges to achieve goals and positive outcomes.
Ability to show empathy, listen effectively and build rapport to support people from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in community activity.
Excellent communication and motivational skills, face to face or over the telephone
Have excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to effectively manage a large caseload of approximately 300 referrals per annum.
