Full job description

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar and Waiting Staff to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a lively restaurant environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing attentive service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential, although full training will be provided. This position is suitable for individuals passionate about delivering excellent guest services and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guests’ needs are met promptly
Serving food and beverages with professionalism and courtesy
Preparing drinks at the bar, including basic cocktail making and garnishing
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and service stations
Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
Managing cash transactions accurately using the till system
Assisting with food preparation tasks as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Providing excellent guest services by addressing enquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential; full training will be provided for the successful individual
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Experience in serving or kitchen roles is desirable; culinary experience is a plus
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
