Senior Area Manager – Commercial Cleaning

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible rota to meet business needs)
Location: Bristol, Bath & Surrounding Areas

About Us

Prestige Cleaning & Maintenance Ltd is a well-established commercial cleaning company with over 30 years of experience delivering exceptional cleaning services across the South West.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts, ensuring outstanding service delivery while supporting and developing our site teams.

This is a hands-on operational management role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships with clients, solving problems and leading people.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts and ensuring they consistently meet the high standards expected by our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts across the region.
Conducting regular site audits and quality inspections.
Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Line managing Cleaning Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives.
Supporting recruitment, inductions and training of new employees.
Monitoring staffing levels and arranging holiday and sickness cover.
Producing schedules and ensuring sites are adequately resourced.
Implementing remedial action plans where standards require improvement.
Managing stock levels and arranging cleaning supplies and equipment.
Investigating and resolving client queries or complaints promptly.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
Working closely with the Operations Director to continually improve service delivery.

About You

You'll be an experienced operational manager with a background in commercial cleaning who enjoys taking ownership of contracts and leading teams.

You'll have:

Previous experience managing commercial cleaning contracts.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
A proactive, solution-focused approach.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A full UK driving licence.
