Kitchen Supervisor – Central Production Kitchen

Location: Hulme, Manchester
Hours: Full-time - Mon-Fri
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our Central Production Kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high food production standards. You will ensure production runs efficiently, quality is consistently high, and the kitchen operates safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily production schedule, ensuring all products are prepared accurately and on time.
Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Central Production Kitchen.
Supervise and support the kitchen team to achieve production targets.
Monitor stock levels, complete inventory checks, and place orders when required.
Ensure stock rotation and minimise waste through effective inventory management.
Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards.
Ensure all HACCP records and food safety documentation are completed accurately.
Carry out daily quality checks to ensure consistency across all products.
Allocate tasks effectively and monitor team performance throughout each shift.
Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and reported if faults occur.
Support training and development of kitchen team members.
Work closely with management to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supervising a commercial or production kitchen.
Has excellent organisational and time management skills.
Is confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Has a strong understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures.
Holds a Level 2 Food Safety qualification (Level 3 desirable).
Can motivate and lead a team by example.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Is comfortable using stock management and production planning systems.
