Part-Time Laundry Assistant

Location: Mitchelston Industrial Estate, Kirkcaldy
Hours: 16 hours per week, Wednesday and Thursday
Additional hours: May be available during busy periods
Job type: Part-time

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Laundry Assistant to join our small laundry facility based on Mitchelston Drive, Kirkcaldy.

The role involves processing linen and towels for our holiday let properties across Fife. We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a commercial laundry environment and is confident using commercial laundry equipment.

This position will involve solo working at our industrial unit, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable working independently.

Main duties will include:

Washing, drying, ironing and folding linen and towels
Using commercial washing machines and dryers
Correctly dosing laundry chemicals and detergents
Operating steam presses, roller irons and other laundry equipment
Checking linen quality and reporting any damaged or heavily stained items
Keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organised
Preparing finished linen for use in our holiday let properties

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous commercial laundry experience
Experience using commercial laundry machines, steam presses and roller irons
Good attention to detail
The ability to work independently
A reliable and practical approach to work
Good time management skills
The ability to carry out a physically active role

The standard hours for this position are 16 hours per week over Wednesday and Thursday. Extra hours may be available during particularly busy periods, but please note that we are not offering full-time hours for this role.

About us

We are a small holiday letting business based in Fife. Our laundry facility supports our holiday let properties by processing the linen and towels used by our guests.

This would suit someone with previous commercial laundry experience who is looking for a regular part-time role in a small, friendly business.
