Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 + Squash Coach to instruct both junior and adult players at our sports club. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills, fostering a positive environment, and promoting the sport within the community. This self-employed position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your own buiness to as big as you like while sharing your expertise and inspiring players of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players
Provide personalised feedback to optimise player development and technique
Organise training programmes, competitions, and friendly matches to encourage participation and progression
Ensure all coaching activities adhere to safety standards and promote a positive, inclusive environment
Maintain equipment and ensure the playing area is safe, clean, and well-organised
Foster a love for squash through motivating instruction and community engagement
Keep accurate records of player attendance, progress, and achievements

Qualifications

Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in squash or similar racquet sports
Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate players of all ages and abilities
Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and encourage participants
Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications are desirable but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected
Passionate about promoting healthy activity and sport participation within the community
Organised with the ability to plan sessions effectively and manage multiple groups simultaneously

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
