Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for dispatch, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Efficiently pick orders using warehouse management systems and manual processes
Handle materials safely and accurately, ensuring correct items are selected for each order
Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment as required, adhering to safety protocols
Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling and storage
Stock shelves and organise inventory to optimise space utilisation
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and quality checks
Conduct quality control inspections to verify order accuracy and product integrity
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets

Experience

Prior experience in warehouse management or logistics is preferred
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
Proven skills in materials handling, picking & packing, and stock replenishment
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
Experience with shipping & receiving processes and quality control procedures is beneficial
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods

Pay: £8.00-£12.75 per hour
