Full job description

At Nova Care Group, we deliver safe, consistent and personalised care to young people up to the age of 25. Supporting our people to perform their roles confidently and effectively is central to maintaining high standards across our services and where you come in.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team based in Cirencester. This pivotal role will provide expert employee relations support to our field-based managers, ensuring people matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.

If you enjoy working with people, supporting managers to navigate HR challenges and contributing to a supportive workplace, this could be the role for you.

Our HR Advisor will be:

Advising and supporting managers across the organisation on all things employee relations including performance, engagement, absence, welfare, capability and whistleblowing
Managing complex employee relation cases, including safeguarding, with confidence and care
First point of contact for general HR enquiries via phone and shared inbox
Ensuring accurate HR record-keeping and administering documentation like contracts, variations and references
Ensuring consistent, fair application of HR policies and best practices
Collaborating on exciting HR projects and policy improvements
Partnering with other departments across the organisation to support the delivery of onboarding, talent development, management upskilling and offboarding

Our HR Advisor will have:

Proven experience working in an HR Advisor role
Proven experience of confidently managing complex ER cases, ideally including safeguarding
A CIPD qualification, ideally level 5 or willingness to work towards
Strong demonstrable application and knowledge of UK employment law
Confidence in supporting, coaching and advising Managers in HR best practice, with the ability to challenge and influence constructively
Comfortable working independently and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving environment, valuing a solutions-focused approach

We’ll be offering our HR Advisor:

A competitive salary of £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
25 days annual leave (increasing with length of service), plus bank holidays plus your birthday off
