Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This is a brand new venture. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee all food production activities, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation across all dishes
Develop innovative menus that align with current culinary trends and customer preferences
Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to meet service times and quality benchmarks
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency
Provide training and mentorship to kitchen staff to enhance skills and maintain high standards of service
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development
Experience in food production, serving, and maintaining high standards of hospitality is highly desirable

Pay: £27,274.78-£38,000.00 per year
