Experienced Housekeeper / Cleaner

Location: Musselburgh
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible hours considered)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and experienced Housekeeper to help maintain a large private residence to a consistently high standard.

This is a long-term position for someone who takes pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail and enjoys keeping a home clean, organised and welcoming.

The successful candidate will work independently and become an important part of the household.

Responsibilities

Cleaning all rooms to a high standard.
Vacuuming, dusting and polishing throughout the property.
Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas.
Changing and laundering bed linen.
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation.
Ensuring the house remains tidy and well presented at all times.
Organising cupboards and household storage.
Emptying bins and managing household waste and recycling.
Monitoring and reporting when household supplies need replenishing.
Assisting with light meal preparation and simple home cooking.
Running occasional household errands if required.
Caring for household furnishings and finishes with attention to detail.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous housekeeping or domestic cleaning experience.
Be trustworthy, discreet and respectful of privacy.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Take pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards.
Be well organised and able to work independently.
Be reliable and punctual.
Be physically fit and capable of maintaining a large property.
Have a friendly, positive and professional attitude.

Desirable

Previous experience working in a private household.
Comfortable preparing simple, healthy home-cooked meals.
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
Excellent references.
