Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote well-being, and ensure residents' comfort and safety. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible
Follow care plans accurately to meet each resident’s specific needs
Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided)
Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
Document care activities accurately using IT systems and record keeping procedures
Support the organisation of activities that enhance residents’ well-being and social engagement
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
