Job Overview

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Picker and Packer to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of organization, safety, and efficiency. DC Iron is one of the largest UK suppliers of wrought iron components, gate, handrail and fencing parts to the metal fabrication industry. The company is family run and operated with consistent growth over our 20 year history. We have been nominated as one of the fastest 50 growing companies in the North East of England for the past 9 years.

Job Role

Picking and packing orders.
Loading goods for dispatch.
Keeping records of stock.
Assisting stock controllers with booking goods in and moving stock around the warehouse.
Dealing with customers for collection orders.
Cleaning work areas.
Any other reasonable jobs that may be required.
Required Skills
A good level of fitness as you will be required to move packages weighing over 20kg regularly.
Good teamwork skills and ability to work to own initiative.
Ability to work quickly, and well whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.
Honesty, reliability and a strong work ethic.
An understanding of health and safety regulations.
A forklift truck license would be highly beneficial but not essential.
Experience in, or an understanding of our industry would be beneficial but not essential.
Working hours Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5pm, Fri 8.30am-4pm. Additional hours may be available on Saturday mornings.
