Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a senior chef to join our team. This is a great chance for someone with experince looking move onto their next challange or to build their reputation with awards or gaining rosettes. We are open for Lunch & Dinners (No breakfast shifts). Helping with seasonal menus and using our Bertha Charcoal oven to cook on fire. A KPI bonus structure along with weekly & monthly tips.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation
Oversee food production, including planning menus, preparing ingredients, and cooking dishes to meet quality specifications
Manage team members by providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management
Serve as a role model in delivering excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and attention to detail during service periods
Collaborate with management on operational improvements and staff scheduling to optimise productivity

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, providing leadership and motivation in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential
Experience in menu development, food production management, and maintaining high standards of quality is highly desirable
Previous restaurant experience with serving customers directly is advantageous
A background in hospitality combined with excellent organisational skills will support success in this role

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
