Join us as a Group Creative Manager at Bettys and Taylors Group - Our family business is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands – Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced creative to join the Group Communications team at Bettys & Taylors Group on a fixed term, maternity cover basis.
This is a hands-on creative role at the heart of our Group communications activity. While you’ll help shape our approach to design and visual storytelling, much of your time will be spent delivering high-quality creative work – designing, producing and bringing content to life across a wide range of channels.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative Group Communications team and, as the primary creative in the team, you’ll partner closely with colleagues across the business to create engaging, effective and beautifully executed communications.
This is a one-year fixed term, part-time role. Ideally, we’re looking for a candidate able to work 25 hours per week, salary detailed is full-time equivalent.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead and deliver creative and design work that supports our internal and Group external communications. This includes a strong focus on practical design and production, as well as shaping creative direction where needed:
- Designing and producing a wide range of communications collateral, including publications, presentations, infographics, reports, event materials and digital content, ensuring high quality standards
- Taking responsibility for end-to-end design delivery, from interpreting briefs and developing concepts through to final production
- Acting as a creative partner to stakeholders across the business, helping translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual content
- Supporting the evolution and application of our Group visual identity, ensuring it is used consistently and effectively across outputs
- Designing for digital channels including employee engagement platforms and our Group website with a focus on layout and user experience
- Creating visual content across multiple formats, such as photography, film, infographics and interactive digital assets, to support communications plans
- Managing the production process, including print and digital outputs, and working with external suppliers such as photographers, illustrators, web developers and printers
- Using insight, feedback and analytics to continuously improve the effectiveness and usability of our content and channels
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Strong, hands-on graphic design capability, with the ability to produce high-quality work across print and digital formats and platforms
- A great eye for layout, typography and visual storytelling, with attention to detail and pride in execution
- Experience managing design projects from concept through to delivery, including production and supplier management
- Confidence working directly with stakeholders to shape briefs and deliver creative solutions that meet business needs
- Strong skills in design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Experience designing for digital platforms and an understanding of UX, page structure and content management systems
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and produce a high volume of work to a consistently high standard
- Strong organisation, collaboration and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, practical mindset – someone who’s happy rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into delivery
Experience supporting or developing others, and contributing to creative direction or visual identity, would also be beneficial, but this is first and foremost a delivery-focused role.
