Based in South Mimms, Hertfordshire or Dartford, the role requires travel to sites around the M25 including Leatherhead with a hybrid working model of 3 days a week on site/in the office.
To lead on supplier engagement, performance management of the supply chain, develop external and internal relationships as they relate to the successful performance of the supply chain over the long term.
What you'll be doing
- Will be the Supply Chain Manager for the CPS supply chain.
- Manage and be responsible for the process of monthly assessments of the supplier scorecards.
- Manage and be responsible for the development of the evidence-based reporting approach and continue to embed this in the supply chain.
- Take part in collaborative Supplier reviews to assist in understanding how the supply chain is performing against their contractual obligations.
- Benchmarking on a regular basis to ensure suppliers are offering value to CPS. Undertake supplier audits throughout the year to assess competence and complete relevant reviews.
- Drive KPI performance from the supply chain and ensure this links back to the CPS KPIs and drive to improve supplier efficiency.
- Undertake modern slavery audits throughout the year to ensure supplier compliance.
- Assist with preparing the monthly report for the CPS Senior Team including progress, Supplier successes and Suppliers on Improvement Plans
- Take part in the Asset Management Forward Plan (AMFP) process each year to
set the budgets for future years.
Who we're looking for
- The successful candidate will come from a Supply Chain Management background
- Previous experience of managing suppliers in an operational and commercial
function
- Previous experience of linking into Procurement and driving joined up operational and commercial functions
- Knowledge of the operation of the NEC contract
- Experience in auditing suppliers and creating improvement plans
- Experience of challenging the status quo in an existing business – long term focus
- Membership of a relevant professional body and/or working towards a relevant qualification, CIPS is preferred but not essential
