Job Summary
We are seeking a young and reliable and professional Food Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food orders promptly and courteously to customers, ensuring a positive experience. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle deliveries efficiently across various locations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time or full-time employment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport food orders to customers' addresses within designated areas
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high customer service standards
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
Handle cash or electronic payments where applicable, and manage order documentation accurately
Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle at all times
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries
Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when necessary
Report any issues or concerns related to deliveries or vehicle maintenance promptly

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Valid driving licence, ideally with experience in commercial driving or operating larger vehicles such as lorries or vans
Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting is advantageous
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools is beneficial but not mandatory
