Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Landscape Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in garden care and the operation of various tools and machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism in outdoor environments. The position is suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional landscape services.

Duties

Carry out landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and general garden upkeep.
Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and routine maintenance to ensure proper watering schedules.
Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape projects according to client specifications.
Maintain health and safety standards across all tasks performed on-site.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is essential.
Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
Previous experience is advantageous.
Strong understanding of plant care, soil management, and garden design principles.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not mandatory.
