Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable GRP Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical work and assembly processes to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Fabricate GRP components according to technical drawings and specifications
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during fabrication processes
Assist with the assembly of GRP parts, ensuring precise fitting and alignment
Prepare materials and surfaces for lamination, moulding, and finishing tasks
Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets
Conduct routine inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies
Assist in loading and unloading materials within the warehouse as required

Requirements

Proven experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments is preferred
Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of fabrication techniques
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Experience with assembly processes, particularly within a manufacturing setting
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Prior experience working with GRP or composite materials is advantageous but not essential
