Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tractor Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors and associated machinery to support agricultural or construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to operate specialised equipment safely and efficiently. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to diverse projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Operate tractors and related machinery, including excavators, to perform tasks such as land preparation, planting, or material movement.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are maintained.
Carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimise downtime.
Assist with loading and unloading materials using excavators or other heavy equipment as required.
Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating tractors.
Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
Strong attention to safety procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

Candidates with prior experience in agricultural or construction settings will be highly regarded. A proactive attitude, reliability, and a focus on safety are essential qualities for success in this role.
