Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles on walls and floors in a variety of residential and commercial projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a good understanding of construction practices. The ideal applicant will have experience working with different tiling materials and tools, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic construction environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable adhesives or underlays.
Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
Lay tiles on walls and floors according to project plans and specifications.
Use carpentry skills to create custom cuts or adjustments as needed.
Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise placement of tiles.
Apply grout, sealants, or finishing compounds to achieve a professional finish.
Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or painters to complete projects efficiently.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in tiling, construction, or related trades is essential.
Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and levels.
Experience with power tools used in tiling tasks is highly desirable.
Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans.
Skills in carpentry or construction painting are advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to interpret project specifications accurately and execute tasks accordingly.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure quality workmanship.
Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
