Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a multi skilled and reliable Maintenance person to join our team as soon as possible on a 24 hour per week basis - contractor and permanent recruit considered.

The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills including repairing and painting old wooden windows, replacing guttering, plumbing and gardening to name but a few!. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Perform general/maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and other structures.
Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
Carry out plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
Handle electrical repairs including changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
Assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
Paint walls and touch up surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or management.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.
Gardening

Experience

Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
A valid driving licence is an advantage for travel between job sites.
Certification in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing or electrical) is a plus but not mandatory.
