Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of senior care, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to lead a committed team in delivering high-quality of nursing care and specialised dementia care, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and fostering a warm, safe environment for residents. The successful applicant will have a background in nursing or residential care, with proven management and supervising experience within a care home setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery adhering to the CQC requirements.
Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Supervise and support staff members, promoting professional development and maintaining a motivated team environment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social care and health & safety standards.
Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Monitor quality assurance processes to uphold the safety, dignity, and well-being of residents at all times.
Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation efficiently to optimise operational effectiveness.
Organise staff training programmes focusing on specialised areas such as dementia care and senior support.

Requirements

Proven experience in residential care home environments; prior management or supervisory experience is essential.
Qualifications in nursing or relevant health & social care fields are highly desirable.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to support residents’ emotional well-being.
Familiarity with the CQC regulatory requirements governing care homes.

Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
