Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both pre-planned and reactive maintenance/ emergency call outs.

Based in Birmingham the candidate will be provided with a van + fuel card.

Duties

Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
Troubleshoot electrical issues using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete tasks efficiently
Document work performed and report any safety concerns or system faults promptly
Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety procedures
24hr call out on rotation with other electricians {paid extra}
Attend pre planned and reactive call outs

Qualifications

Proven experience doing pre planned and reactive maintenance
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards (e.g., BS7671)
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, 18th edition
Comfortable with testing & Inspection
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid UK driving licence
