The role:

Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker and become an essential part of a compassionate, patient-centred acute care team. You will work alongside skilled nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality care that makes a real difference to people at some of their most vulnerable moments. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Duration: Permanent
Location: Inverclyde Royal Hospital
Hours: Part-time (28 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to patients, supporting their physical and emotional needs
Undertake a range of clinical tasks and observations under the direction of a Registered Nurse
Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to ensure safe and responsive care delivery
Support patients with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to effective communication within the team
Follow all policies, procedures and safety standards, including infection prevention and health and safety
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and well-equipped clinical environment, including stock control

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

SVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience within a healthcare setting
Understanding of Healthcare Support Worker standards and code of conduct
Demonstrate experience providing direct patient care within a clinical or care environment
Good communication, literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to ongoing learning and completion of mandatory and in-house training
Caring, compassionate approach with the ability to respond sensitively to patient needs
