We are a busy out of school care service providing breakfast club, after school care and holiday club to families across East Renfrewshire and we currently require confident childcare practitioners to join our team for the new school term in August.
No two days are the same, so energy and creativity are a must! You might be leading an arts and crafts activity, doing some home baking, building a den, going on a bear hunt, directing a play or sailing paper boats down the river! We’re very much child centred so the only limit to what we offer is the children’s imaginations!
This role would suit an experienced childcare professional. A relevant childcare or play work qualification is essential, as is energy, enthusiasm and a passion for working with children. We offer on the job training, ongoing support, flexible working hours and a competitive rate of pay.
The successful applicants will be required to meet the criteria for registration with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, Scottish Social Services Council and will be reference checked.
Requirements: Experience in working with children and a relevant Childcare or Playwork qualification at SVQ Level 7 or equivalent is essential. The post requires registration with SSSC at Practitioner level.
Current Salary - The rate of pay for our qualified childcare practitioners is up to £13.25 per hour. For entry level positions, the hourly rate is from £10.85 per hour.
Hours of Work – Our hours of service are 7.30-9am and 2.45-6pm.
We have 2 positions available: one is for is for 19 hours per week, Monday-Thursday mornings and afternoons term time at our Netherlee Service. The other is for 13 hours per week, Monday-Thursday afternoons term time at our Eaglesham Service. The successful applicant must be available to work during our hours of service Monday to Friday.
