Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service in a lively environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous hospitality experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for career development within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Monitor customer behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Engage with customers in a friendly manner to create a welcoming atmosphere
Assist in setting up events or special occasions as required

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred, especially within a restaurant or bar setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
Strong serving skills combined with excellent time management abilities are essential
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks during busy periods
A personable attitude with excellent communication skills is highly valued
