Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, presentation, and quality control
- Develop and implement creative menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant environment, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Experience in food production, menu development, and hospitality operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience in restaurant or catering services is highly desirable
