Job Title: Kitchen Porter / Factory Operative

Farmyard cook high end food at scale for First and Business Class Airlines and leading UK restaurants.

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Kitchen Porter / Factory Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking for both full-time and part-time roles within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Washing up and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
General cleaning duties to ensure high hygiene standards: Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts
Assist with the organisation and storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Support the team during busy periods by ensuring a steady flow of clean utensils and equipment
Packing products efficiently, at a good fast pace and accurately
Loading pallets and preparing goods for dispatch
Assisting chefs and production staff as required
Follow HACCP guidelines and food safety procedures diligently at all times
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to management

What We’re Looking For:

A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work well as part of a team at a good pace
Good attention to detail
Flexibility to work shift patterns

Experience:

Knowledge of food production processes is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
Previous experience in a food handling environment is an advantage
Factory or production experience is also beneficial, but not essential
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with kitchen appliances can be beneficial
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients or quantities as needed
Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced environment
