Job Description: Installer/Fitter
Attention, self-motivated Installer/ Fitter! We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to help support the growth of our QSR (Quick Serve Restaurants) customers such as Burger King, Popeye’s, Greggs as an Installer/Fitter.
What you’d be doing in this role
- Follow company plans to install company products such as V5 or Intrasurv
- Adhere to risk assessments created by the business to ensure the safe practices of the install
- Installing V5 or Intrasurv according to system design specification into premises
- Complete all field visit paperwork for both installation visits as per the agreed iFacility standards before leaving site
- Travel to different locations to install V5 or Intrasurv, run CAT5 cables and terminate to peripheral components
- Communicate with head office and management teams, customer facing within store or team management or contractors on site
- Adhere to company and on-site policies and procedures
- Promoting the company in a professional manner at all times
- Use all equipment for example hand and power tools, ladders in accordance with Health & Safety policies and procedures, test monitors,
- Practical skills to drill holes for brackets or shelves, change a plug, run cabling, basic wiring skills, assembling a product, read a plan and follow instructions
- Have an interest in security products, basic IT skills, for example to understand instructions to enter a password, IP codes, understand what you are installing cameras, routers, key fobs, speakers and train others on their use
- Willingness to learn about our software and security products for career development
- Adhere to all Health and Safety training and legislation, keeping your knowledge updated to changes within this area
- Participation in in-house or external training activities including certification and H&S training as required
- Any other duties required to carry out the role of fitter within iFacility
- Adhere to the all policies and procedures with regards to your Company Vehicle, including following the guidelines set out in the Company Drivers handbook and vehicle policy.
- Adhere to all contractual, Employee Handbook, and Company policies and procedures, failure to do so could lead to disciplinary action.
- Working within the umbrella of the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards, ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management, ISO 27001 Information and Security Management Systems and how these impacts on our NSI Standard
At a glance: the qualifications we’ll be looking for
- Field based role, covering a number of sites
- Basic DIY skills, using hand held and power tools, must be able to do basic wiring for product installation, must have dexterity and be able to multi task
- Demonstrate and understanding of Health & Safety in the work place ideally CSCS/ECS card or able to attend training for this course
- Demonstrate the capability to work alone or as part of a small team
- Maintaining safe practices and procedures whilst carrying out duties on customer premises
- Conduct self in a professional manner adhering to the highest standards of customer service
- Maintain professionalism at all times whilst using company vehicles, tools and equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Use of IT equipment and follow technical instructions from the head office team to commission the install
- Experience of liaising with head office departments and follow instructions where necessary
- Must have a full UK driving licence
- Maintain company vehicle in line with iFacility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and able to follow instructions from line or team members
- Administration duties as required for record keeping, expenses and ordering or raising of purchase orders
