Join our friendly team at Guildowns Group Practice!

Guildowns Group Practice, a forward-thinking, university-linked NHS GP Practice, is proud to serve over 24,000 patients across four sites in Guildford. Our aim is to provide a high standard of healthcare to patients with courtesy, friendliness and efficiency.

Our reception team is the heart of the practice, and you will play a key role in supporting our patients every day, making a real difference through the delivery of high-quality service and ensuring every patient feels listened to, respected, and supported.

Hours - Monday to Friday, full time, 37.5 hours per week, with rotating shifts of either 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM.

Career Progression - After a year of service, you’ll have the opportunity to progress to a Senior Patient Services Administrator role, with additional responsibilities and a salary review.

Your Role - As a member of our Patient Services Team, you’ll be responsible for:

Managing patient queries, booking, amending, and cancelling appointments.
Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and professional attitude.
Supporting the clinical and management teams with general administrative tasks such as scanning, electronic filing, making outbound calls to patients and completing target driven admin work.
Opening up and closing the surgery where instructed.
Undertaking processing of all tasks allocated to the Patient Services Team.

About the Opportunity - This vacancy has arisen as a result of an internal promotion within the team, reflecting our commitment to supporting progression for our staff.

What We're Looking For - We’re seeking an Administrator who is passionate about delivering excellent service. You’ll need:

Previous experience in a busy office or customer-facing environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Flexibility to work across our four Guildford locations
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
