Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food preparation, safety standards, and team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily restaurant activities, maintain high standards of service, and foster a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings, along with culinary expertise, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and high standards of quality.
Supervise staff including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork.
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and food production standards.
Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and excellence in presentation.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Train new staff members on service procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning by collaborating with culinary staff to introduce new dishes or optimise existing offerings.
Promote a positive work environment that encourages professional development and high morale.

Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Experience in restaurant operations, including service delivery and customer relations.
Familiarity with culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen management.
Previous hotel or barista experience is desirable but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Leadership qualities combined with exceptional communication skills.
A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is advantageous but not mandatory.
