Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Finance / Admin Assistant to support our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in financial administration within a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. The position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and an interest in finance.

Responsibilities

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as Xero
Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments
Reconcile accounts and prepare basic financial reports as required
Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
Support the finance team during month-end closing activities and audits
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
Administrative Duties
Manage emails, correspondence, and telephone enquiries.
Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Organize and maintain company records and documentation.
Support office operations and general administrative tasks.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams as required.
Qualifications
Prior experience or familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is highly advantagous
Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous administrative experience is advantageous but not essentialThis role provides valuable exposure to financial administration within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the efficiency of our finance operations while developing their professional skills.

Pay: £27,500.00 per year
